Reservation Policy

By making a booking or visiting our venue, you agree to the below stated terms and conditions. Guests agree that all information given for the booking is true and correct. Bookings may be rejected by The Bayswater Hotel at any time if this information fails to meet these terms and conditions. Thank you and enjoy your visit.

ACCOUNT LIMIT

Equivalent to the bond given, generally AUD 100 to chargeback incidentals during your stay to your room account. The hotel can ask for a payment to clear your outstanding accounts if the charges go over the limit. The bond can be more depending on your length of stay.

CAR PARKING

We have guaranteed complimentary self-handled car parking.

CANCELLATIONS

Our Cancellation Policy is 24 hours in advance by 4pm prior to the date of arrival. The Hotel is otherwise entitled to keep a minimum of 1 night's accommodation depending on the length of stay.

CHECK IN TERMS

Guest must be at least 18 years of age to book and check in to the accommodation. Room payment is required prior to check in. An incidental bond for security may be asked in additional for up to AUD 250 to cover for additional charges that you may incur during your stay including any extensions of stay. Bond given as a credit card pre-authorization via an Australian Bank's is released automatically within 3 to 5 working days, after a room inspection and account clearance. The guest will need an acceptable photo identification: current passport of any country or a valid Australia Driver’s License of any state. Bayswater Hotel reserves the right to debit the credit card on file for any damage to hotel property and for any unpaid outstanding amounts owing. NOTE: We recommend NOT to present your TRAVEL CARDS for pre-authorizations as they may take a few weeks to release your funds! Use alternate methods of bond example, cash bond only in Australian Dollars.

CHECK OUT

Check out is 10am. Late check outs till 12noon may be arranged free of charge, depending on room availability and Hotel occupancy. A late check out of 2pm is additional $75 and after 2pm is a full day charge.

CHILDREN POLICY

Up to two children stay free of charge in the existing bedding. Child policy: Infant 0 – 2 years inclusive, child 3 – 11 years inclusive, adult 12 years and above. COTS Cots for infants can be provided at no additional fee.

CONFIRMED BOOKINGS / 6PM ROOM RELEASE

Guest must be at least 18 years of age to book and check in to the accommodation. Bookings secured via credit card guarantee are considered confirmed. Unconfirmed bookings are handled in accordance of to our 6pm Room Release policy. Unconfirmed reservations will be held in our system until 6pm the day before arrival unless you give us a call on 08 9271 7111 and re-confirm your booking. We will then keep it in good faith for you until the advised time of arrival. For late checks in who booked with a guarantee credit card that declines for payment, other form of payment will be required prior to check in.

CREDIT CARD SURCHARGE

Payments made by using a credit card attracts a bank fee recovery surcharge averaged out to be 1.5% on Visa / MasterCard and 2.5% on American Express, JCB, China Union and Diners Club Card.

INTERNET / WIFI

We offer high speed fibre connection, complimentary and unlimited wifi throughout the venue.

LATE CHECK INS AFTER 11PM

Please arrange with our Hotel Reception is you will be checking in late. Our Reception operating timings are between 7.30am to 9pm. There is a Duty Manager onsite daily till at-least 11pm during the week and till midnight on weekends.

LIABILITY

The hotel is not liable for loss of or damage to, the property of a lodger. This also includes luggage storage and motor vehicles and property owned by the guest left in or on motor vehicles.

NO SHOW

One night accommodation fee will be charged. If guests have booked online through third party websites, the same charges apply as above.

OTHER FEES & CHARGES FIRE BRIGADE

Additional charge of AUD 750 will be incurred by the guest if alarms are activated & Fire Brigade attends. DFES charges this fee to the hotel in the event that a fire alarm goes off due to negligence. Smoking in room AUD 150 per day with any evidence of smoking in the rooms including room odour. The hotel reserves the right to ask you to leave for repetitive behaviour. Excessive cleaning AUD 150 where room has been left in an unacceptable cleaning condition. Lost room access card AUD 20 per card as a replacement fee.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We accept: Cash, Eftpos, Visa, MasterCard, Diners, American Express, JCB and Choice Corporate Charge Card. Refer to Credit Card Surcharge for relevant details. The credit card must be under your name. It is illegal to carry someone else’s card. A third party payment must fill out our credit card application form in full for it to be accepted. Direct Debit: Funds must clear in our bank account 24 hours prior to the guest arrival. ROLLAWAY BEDS

Rollaway beds are permitted in Premium Queen and Family rooms only for an additional charge of AUD 30 per rollaway bed per night. Only one rollaway bed per room is allowed. We have limited rollaway beds and hence subject to availability and can be pre-requested but not guaranteed.

SMOKING

All venue outlets and all rooms are completely non-smoking.

WALK OUT POLICY

We regret when this happens however in those rare cases, the Hotel reserve the right to relocate any booking to a hotel of same standard. All bookings are subject to availability. Hotel will arrange the transport to the new venue as well.

GROUP BOOKINGS

We welcome group bookings for corporate events, local tourism, senior tours and some student groups. We can offer a block of 20 rooms together or the entire venue of 40 rooms. Please visit the Room Types page within the ROOMS section of this site for bedding and other relevant details. A list of Property Facilities and Room Amenities is stated within as well. Please note: The acceptance of a group bookings is dependable on the type of group it is. The only reason why a group booking may not be entertained is due to noise to other occupants, loud voices, running around the property. The hotel reserves the right to remove the guests from property and call Police if needs be to assist in doing the same.
